We had a great Father's Day on Sunday. We went to my mom and dad's for KC Masterpiece in the afternoon, then dad opened his gifts (including a killer Suite in Vegas - a gift he can enjoy on our upcoming family vacation in August). We played cards and dice until it was time for dinner! We were missing Sarah and Whitney, but Delaney kept us more than entertained (and busy!) She's developed Troy's sense of humor - completely willing to participate in anything that will make people laugh. Neil and Nancy joined us for a cook-out on the deck (two REALLY sweet neighbors who have almost made up for the fact that our old cul-de-sac just isn't the same anymore.) Delaney showed us exactly how to eat baked beans (and share them with Papa Rick, who was hardly amused.) Then we played more cards and drank more margaritas. (Delaney was frustrated that she couldn't drink from any of our cups so we finally gave her one - filled with water...mostly.)
All-in-all, a very good day - and the end of a VERY long (fun) weekend.
P.S. I finally played Wii and Rock Band and I am completely hooked. Look out! Our living room is about to get WAY more exciting.
